Attention: Australian Business Owners and Elite Executives
RE: The finish line is fixed - 30 June 2026.

With Pay Day Super commencing on 1 July 2026² and your Single Touch Payroll (STP) finalisation due by 14 July 2026¹, there is absolutely NO room for any loose ends. This is the moment to lock-in compliance, clean your data, celebrate what’s working in your Business and sprint hard to the close. Miss any of these checks and you risk ATO penalties, delayed income statements, cash-flow surprises and ONLY MORE compliance headaches (besides Employer jail time) in the new financial year.
Your 'No-More-Excuses' EoFY Playbook
Send the Personal Details Reminder – DO IT This Week!
This is one of the simplest yet highest-impact actions you can take right NOW.
Exec Action: Arrange for your team to Email or SMS all Workers asking them to confirm (and update their Personal Details) - See entry 24/05/2026 on our RUNPAY® Master Calendar for more information.
Why it matters? Outdated Information only delays income statements and creates immediate overall Business problems (including your own Business Adminstration Cost) under the new 7-Business-day Pay Day Super rules starting 1 July².
RUNPAY® Recommendation: Send this Reminder NOW (or at the very least by Monday 8 June 2026), with a response deadline of 20 June 2026.
Schedule a Team Retrospective Meeting (Highly Recommended)
Upcoming EoFY is the perfect time for a full-team huddle — not just for compliance, but a genuine performance reset. Structure the session around four (4) clear lenses:
The Efficient — WHAT is working well?
The Inefficient — WHAT is NOT working?
Efficiency Cause(s) — WHY is this happening? (Root causes)
Efficiency Betterment — WHAT and WHY will we change to improve for our Next More Efficient (NME) year?
Key Focus: Celebrate your current efficiency across Workers, Processes and Technology (WPT). Publicly recognise standout team members, streamlined workflows and tools that delivered the results YOU also need for SUCCESS! This builds desired morale, culture and reinforces such requirement for overall Business financial success to your team.
Important Mindset Reminder: In Business, ‘the Good Times’ are sadly very easily forgotten when weighed against‘the Bad Times’. It takes a truly honest, healthy, balanced and experienced mindset to maintain proper perspective and give credit where it’s truly due. Don’t let any 'Recency Bias' rob your team of well-earned recognition. Run this meeting in the next 7–10 days while the year is still fresh.
Core Payroll & Compliance Checks Before 30 June:
Sprint through these non-negotiables in your Business:
Reconcile all pay runs, leave balances and year-to-date figures against the general ledger.
Confirm Super Guarantee contributions (April–June quarter) are paid and cleared.
Review pay categories, deductions and Award classifications.
Clear any exceptions or manual adjustments.
Validate Bank feeds and GST coding.
ADDITIONAL NOTE ONLY: This is also the ideal time to prepare for the Annual Wage Review decision (expected early June), so new rates can be implemented from the first full pay period on or after 1 July³. Don’t forget to review your First Aid arrangements, kits, first aiders and WHS procedures as part of your broader EOFY compliance and safety checks⁴.
Post-30 June Sprint (14 July Deadline)
Lodge your Single Touch Payroll (STP) finalisation declaration by 14 July 2026¹.
**Activate full Pay Day Super processes from 1 July 2026**².
